How Boston Ballet School — Brookline Studio comes across
Boston Ballet School's Brookline Studio comes across as the institution's newest and most neighborhood-facing outpost — "now open in the heart of Coolidge Corner" at 1431 Beacon Street, described as "a state-of-the-art facility" offering "world-class ballet instruction for students ranging in age from 16 months to adult." It carries the full weight of the parent company behind it: the same named leadership as the South End headquarters (Associate Director Tamara King, Assistant Principal Ivaylo Alexiev) and the same serious curriculum — Preparatory, Foundations, a Teen Beginner Program, and Adult Dance Training. The transit-friendly framing (next to the Summit Avenue Green Line stop, with parking notes) signals a deliberate effort to be accessible to local families rather than only the dedicated. The impression is of a satellite that loses none of the company's pedigree — a place where a toddler's first class and an adult's late start share a building with genuine pre-professional ballet, delivered under a major company's name and standards.

About the school
The Brookline Studio of Boston Ballet School operates from 1431 Beacon Street in Coolidge Corner. The location was consolidated in 2025 when Boston Ballet School acquired the former Brookline Ballet School (founded 2010 by Trinidad Vives and Parren Ballard) after 15 years of independent operation. Boston Ballet now runs its full curriculum from the recently completed two-studio facility — Children's Program from 16 months through Pre-Professional, Adult Dance Program (16+) covering Foundations of Ballet and open drop-in classes. Sister studios operate in Back Bay (19 Clarendon St) and Newton.
