Steppin' Out Dance Studio operates on South Van Ness Avenue in the Mission District. The studio was formed in 1995 by Angela Rose Dorantes out of the Betty May Studio — a children's dance institution that served San Francisco since the 1930s, where Angela trained under Betty May. The studio teaches a community of young people from age 2 through young adults across Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Tumbling, Contemporary, Creative Movement, and danceABILITY (an adaptive-dance program).
